Summer Training

Use the calendar below to track your summer running mileage.  Use it until the first day of school to collect miles. Those in 7-8th grade next year have a goal of running 100 miles.  Those in 9-12th grade next year have a goal of running 250 miles. This summer running will prepare you better for the start of the season.  Mark each day that you lift weights with a star. 


Also included below are some suggested training plans.

Running in road races gets you double the mileage.  There are races in the area each weekend. Triathlons count too. 


You do not need to meet this mileage in order to come out for cross country, but it will prepare you better for the season.  


DATES TO KEEP TRACK OF:


August 12th - First day of practice.  We will meet at the Kennedy 

          building in the hallway by the gold gym.  9:00am practice.  

August 20nd-22nd - Training Camp at Park Rapids MN.  We will be camping at 

       Camp Center, running, swimming, and a high ropes course.  More info on this event 

       during the first week of practice. 


Join our Team running club on Strava to help track your training and see what others on the team are doing. Its great accountability and camaraderie.
